Dame Vaeriel Sunwhisper was once among the most formidable warriors of the Order of the Gate Keepers, an elite sect of Sun Elf Dovahkiin riders dedicated to maintaining balance between dragonkind and the mortal realms. Her dragon, Aesthyrion the Radiant, a majestic gold wyrm, perished during the War of the Ancients, leaving her grievously wounded and heartbroken.

Following the war, Vaeriel chose to retire from battle, retreating to a secluded temple deep in Socrates Forest near Rivendell, where she now serves as a mentor to those seeking the lost knowledge of the Dovahkiin and the Order of the Gate Keepers. Though her sword has long been sheathed, her wisdom and protective magic remain strong.

Dame Vaeriel Sunwhisper is the greatest blacksmith in all of Azure, known for crafting the Twelve Legendary Dragon Weapons—artifacts of unparalleled craftsmanship wielded by the mightiest Dovahkiin riders. Her forge also produced the arms and armor of countless dragon riders who once soared the skies in defense of the world.

Before the War of the Ancients, Vaeriel was not only a Paladin and rider of the gold dragon Aesthyrion the Radiant but also the Royal Smith of the Order of the Gate Keepers, responsible for imbuing weapons with powerful enchantments tied to the souls of their wielders and their dragons.
