lo My father was a sailor from youth but took up piracy as a way to make more money for me and ma. He was a decent man as far as pirates go, we used to try to get back home everything few years, once we made a sizable haul. My father lived by a code of sorts, everyone on his ship got a cut worth as much as the effort they put in not the importance of their job. We didn’t steal from innocents only wealthy merchants and the royal fleets. If someone on the ship was in trouble we did whatever it took to help. No being has the right to own any other intelligent being. I begged my father to teach me to sail and to be as good a fighter as he was, when I was 14 he started letting me sail with him, a few months at a time. I made friends with the ships cabin boy his mother was the town wench or in not so nice a words whore. He was born in the slums of waterdeep but spent most of his time outside of the city. He spent most of his childhood trying to find his father and one day was successful. His father was our navigator. My father made him cabin boy at 15 the same day I started sailing with him. We were instant friends and he was the only one on the crew that seemed to like me. Turns out he really liked me. We began having a romantic interest in each other. We hid it at first but couldn’t keep it a secret for long as we shared such tight quarters with the crew. Surprisingly it wasn’t discouraged by our fathers. However when Nelis was 18 and I was 17 we where boarding a merchant ship and Nelis was shot. Despite his best attempts the doctor could not save him. The officers on the ship taught me how to play cards, to sail by the stars, to read maps, to stretch rations to feed hungry men for longer than they should have. But it was hard, some of the sailors didn’t except me at first, they weren’t all as honorable as my father. And each port we stoped at was worse than the last. I learned I needed to be tough and mean in the slums back home and it was no exception to get by with them, they thought they could push me around cause I was a lady, only reason I was on the sea was cause I was a captains little daughter. I proved um wrong. I cut off my own ear tips to prove I was as good as any human man. At 19 my father decided I was ready to become first mate and I took on many of his captain duties and I finally had the respect of many other captains. When I was 21 our ship was attacked by a rival pirate, Captain Orisk Thatch, who didn’t fallow my father’s code of attacking innocents, he wanted to rob a small fishing village and my father tried to stand up to him but Tempest of The Deep was no match for his gallon, we sunk and I was the only survivor as far as I knew, but as luck would have it I washed up on the shores of waterdeep and returned to my home in the slums. I had not been back since I was 17 as the sea had turned cruel and we couldn’t make it back. I found out from neighbors and a local office that ma had died 3 months earlier from the great plague and I had inherited the 2 room shack I was born in and a small profit my father had hidden away. Traveled with the magnificent bastard. Took down the man who killed my crew and father. Meet my husband and had a child.

Mental Trauma

Lost fiancé, lost father/captain and thought I lost entire crew, mother died of plague, lost friend she’d known for a few months, lost ship’s Cook she new since she was little, and doctor she’s known sense birth has a heart condition, she went into a different reality and got the wedding she never had, saw everyone that died and wanted to stay but was brutally awoken and feels completely torn apart. She was just barely stoped from killing herself. My ship sunk agin. There’s a prophecy that says that all my friends are gonna die. I died and came back. Next time I die I may not get to see my family agin. Mizour died. Verden lost his arm. How much longer till the prophecy takes them all? Has horrible nightmares. Everyone has died, one way or another. It has been 23 years since I found Kalas waiting for me at that dock.
