Black Talon: Motivated

I'd been in the education camp nine months. Most cadets rotate out in five, civilian placement, post office etc., regular government jobs. Not me, I re-upped, got promoted, then promoted again. Black Talon special Ops! I got my own BT1 mech! Trained another two months and then it happened. I was at the facility, breaking in some newbs. A messenger ran up and interrupted my training speech, "Sir." He saluted, placing his closed right fist over his heart and swiping it down across his body until he was in the attention stand.
 
I let him know, "At ease. Report."
 
"Sir, I have been instructed to let you know, you've been activated. You are supposed to report to zone-17 for mission instructions and departure." The messenger blurted.
 
"Thank you." I returned his salute, "May the Destroyer of unrest forever invoke peace." and with that release, he trotted off. I told my second to take over the newb cadets and gave them a good bye, "I have been called to uphold the peace. Train to the best of your ability and one day you to may gain the honor of protecting the world against criminals that wish only to put us back to countries at war instead of one world at peace!"
 
The sixty cadets cheered, "Destroy war, keep the world at peace. Destroyer! Destroyer!", "God luck sir.". "Kick some ass." and other cheers I heard as I to marched at double pace, eager to get to the debriefing.
 
The debrief was quick, convoy would take us to a warehouse. Class A illegals were to be apprehended. Seek and destroy as needed. Special note, double credits were going to be rewarded for capture of the Void Girl. While en route I read her file.
 
The fight at the warehouse didn't go as planned. There were more illegals then expected. I got one shot on Void Girl. They took us down. Asked ridiculous questions. Their brainwashing is obvious, they think they are the good guys. Some of us play along. I let Void Girl know what I think. It doesn't seem to register. More illegals show up and they take us captive.
 
Now we are prisoners of the war mongers. Destroyer save us!
