You might think this is just like the stories, but the stories don't really talk about the death and destruction. Sure, its mentioned but its one thing to hear about so many were killed and homes destoryed. Its another to walk though the streets of your home town, and experience it for yourself. Ahri is glad that so many were still alive at Old Matsuki's and that Elizeth was ok if worn down. We even were on a quest, and getting blessings for the Gods, but the ancestors whispered to her that sure its all prayers and blessings now but what about the monster guarding the eternal lantern or that downtown was overun with possessed bugs and snakes. Ahri shivered, that beast was dangerous, we were on a path most likely to face it and she worried that Kusuma might get hurt fighting it. Ahri needed to be brave, to help her sister and the group.

Ahri wonders if more statues will come to life. Great grandma song told her of family guardians are statues but if given a task they come alive. But great grandma loves to talk and gossip, apparently spirits enjoy discussing there descendants. She keeps telling me to let kusuma know that she needs to settle down and find someone. I’d prefer to keep breathing so I just ignore that. Im glad Kusuma is with me, I always feel safer with her around, she’s the greatest though I’d never admit that to her. But the ancestors have been strangely quiet since i awoke in the forest and made that joke to go on a hike. Now I think of it the closer we got to town the more they disappeared. Since connecting with the ancestors it’s never been completely quiet, now it’s dead silent. I hope mother, father and little brother are ok, they at least live outside town so maybe they aren’t in any danger…though the idiot that shows up to Jae Song house looking trouble better bring at least a squad of people. Mother might not still be a mercenary but she’ll mess most people up. Her training can be …difficult. I see the disappointment of not taking a martial calling, Kusma fights well in combat and exploits her enemies weaknesses. Kusuma this, Kusuma that, be more like Kusuma…. “Ahri stay close, I don’t want to loose you in this fog” yes Kusuma.
