The Journey Into Town

The road back to town was a silent one. Everyone was either hiding or hopefully making their way either to Old Matsuke’s or Granny Hu’s on the other side of the river. We decided to stay here on the Southside of the river and make our way to Old Matsuke’s. Along the way we found some of our fellow townsfolk who were not so lucky.
Yuki, Ahri, Kusuma, Nag and Dorodara are all holding up very well. When we made our way into the center of town, we saw the Eternal Lantern was out and some sort of evil-looking creature sitting on the bridge along with a number of jenkin. We decided it’s better to get to Old Matsuke’s before trying to retake the bridge.
We encountered a haunt the along way. Unusual, and unfortunately, a sign of things to come if we cannot figure out what has happened and how to fix it. But otherwise, we make our way safely to Old Matsuke’s place.
Many of those on the south side of the river have gathered here. We all help where we can. When we finally have the chance to speak with Old Matsuke, he tells us the story of the three blessed copper coins that powered the lantern. At his urging and with the proper ritual we set out to create three blessed coins and re-power the lantern.
First, however, we need to find Hunters from the Silvermist Lodges. We have been given orders to relay from Old Matsuke. The Hunters are to find UglyCute and use it to help clear the town and the bridge. We managed to get two of three blessed copper coins, one at shine at the Silvermist Lodge, and one at the Temple of the Lady of Soul. Then made our way across the river to Dr. Dami’s Hand of Spring and battled centipedes to save the good doctor.
Dr Dami informed us that the town had been overrun with creatures leaving me very concerned for the Sanmi Family. Many of the town folk have gather here. The rest, and those from the north bank of the river have gone to Granny Hu’s. The last blessed copper coin was created here at the Dr’s shine.
