Personal History
Kennedy was born in Barrowcleft and raised alongside his older brother by a mushroom farmer. After a mushroom famine took their fathers life, they survived as street urchins in Crow's Foot and made money as informants for the gangs that lived there. They never made enough money for food, and eventually, Kennedy's brother died of starvation and sickness. Kennedy tried and failed to fight off the Spirit Warden's that took his brother's body to the crematorium. Kennedy's loyalty and tenacity caught the attention of a man named Roric, who took Kennedy under his wing and raised him to adulthood. Roric was the leader of The Crows, a notorious Akorosi gang that ran all of Crow's Foot. Kennedy was already experienced, hardened, and had a natural business sense due to years of swindling to survive. Kennedy's natural leadership allowed him to rapidly rise through the ranks of The Crows and poise himself take over once Roric retired. That day came much too soon, however, when Roric was murdered by his 2nd-in-command, Lyssa. Lyssa blamed Roric's death on Kennedy and led a manhunt to find and kill him. Eventually, she tracked him down and shot him in the chest before he fell off a bridge into a canal in order to escape. Lyssa assumed Kennedy was dead, she assumed wrong.
