All For a Book...

I received word from Wulgast that my comrade, Cassius, and I would be teaming up with some constricts to do a job for Ms. Devine. I enjoy my time with Cassius and was very excited at the prospect of getting to work with him again. Ms. Devine needed us for a job to steal a book from a warehouse owned by her rival Kate Leigh. This wasn’t just any book, but a magical artifact. I was intrigued at the prospect of seeing this book and what powers it contains.
 
Cassius and I were able to let out some steam in an attempt to interrogate one of our rival crime bosses henchmen. His name didn’t seem very important since he unexpectedly seemed to suffer from a stroke. We disposed of the body before heading out to find information on this book.
 
Our group consisting of two male hill dwarves (not related) Harry Smallperson and Hurmir, along with Cassius, and I, were able to set up a meeting to attempt to procure the book. This almost instantly went to shit. Our group seemed to handle Kate Leigh’s henchmen with ease.
 
I, with relative ease, was able to navigate us towards the warehouse where the book is supposed to be. Our new comrade, Hurmir, scouts out the place, and we were going to be in for quite a fight. I get up on the roof, while the rest of the team goes through the door. I rained fireball upon fireball to tremendous success, but the Grells turned out to be quite a handful. Cassius handingly assassinate Kate’s right hand man “The Wolf” and I was able to take his blades. He isn’t using them anymore, so why not? Hurmir got the book out and because of my fireballs and a few torches we set fire to the warehouse.
 
I did enjoy my mission with the new guys. They seem very capable allies. This job seemed almost too easy. I await word from Ms Devine and my teacher for further instruction . Until then I will continue training myself in new wildshapes, so that I can continue to repay Ms. Devine and Wulgast for saving me as a boy.
