Sven grew up modest. Growing up, he was best friends with the clanmaster's son. They both wished to be talented musicians, but only his friend could afford new instruments. Sven had to fashion his own. As they grew older, their competitive nature drove them apart. Hellbent on challenging his friend to a face-off, he visited a twisted sorcerer and demanded she make his skills the utmost in the realm. She instead (unknown to Sven) warped his feeble mind only to believe he was the best. Though his skills were respectable, Sven still could not hold a candle to the clanmaster's son. Believing the competition had been rigged, Sven made a fool of himself trying to convince others of this. However, his desperate plea for validation was met only with insulting laughter. The unending mockery drove him mad, and one day, in a fit of unbridled rage, he killed his friend in cold blood. Sven was banished from the clan and forced to roam the extended realm alone and confused, still clinging to the belief that his actions were justified. The promise of redemption and the chance to spite his once beloved home drove him to journey towards the bard college. But shortly after departing, he was suddenly intercepted and swept away...
