Personal history

Arthur Fearin’s story begins with a storm. A terrible storm had bombarded the coast of Barako for several days. After the storm had subsided, an infant human boy was found washed up on the shore.
He had washed up on the shores of Baraco, unconscious and badly hurt. The baby was taken in by the Faerin family, all of whom were elves. Despite the racial differences, they cared for the boy like he was one of their own after giving him the name Arthur. They wanted this human boy to have a human name. This family consisted of a father (Forun), a mother (Amista), a boy (Jarold), and a girl (Helia). His adoptive parents were always caring towards him, even though he butted heads with his father on a number of occasions. His adoptive siblings (who are twins) were older than him, and thus acted like older siblings towards him.
 
It was discovered early on that Arthur was not normal. From a very early age, it was found that he could make small items float and move with just his mind. Eventually he gained the ability to communicate with limited telepathy and even read minds. After a bit of research, it was determined that Arthur was a psychic, likely originating from Iberia.
When he was 16, Arthur began wanting to train to become a swordfighter. He quickly realized that he was quite proficient with a blade. This combined with his inherent psionic abilities grabbed the attention of his soon-to-be-master Avar Skymind, a master swordsman who possessed psionic powers. When he turned 18, Arthur moved from the middle of nowhere to a small town called Avarstead (interestingly enough, it was not named after Avar Skymind) to become an apprentice of Avar Skymind. Under his master’s tutelage, he met another psychic: a Tiefling named Dorian, but prefers to be called blade. These two became fast friends. When he was 20, he met an elvish girl named Fiora who also lived in Avarstead. He began courting Fiora and married her when he was 24. When he was 28, he and Fiora had a daughter named Victoria.
 
 
When Victoria was 12 years old, her health began declining rapidly. No magic seemed to improve her condition any noticeable amount, and it was becoming increasingly apparent that she did not have much time left. Arthur, being a “stubborn bastard” as he called himself, decided that he was not going to let his daughter, the only blood family he had, die so young.
He had heard rumors of “Pieces of Break,” that, if collected, would give the holder immense power. He decided that he would pursue this “damn-near impossible” task in an attempt to save his daughter’s life. Before he left, he had her petrified so that she would not die while he was away.

Homeschooled and self-taught in subjects like mathematics and language.
