Personal history
Childhood
Lillith's mother Mithladi was killed by orcs when Lillith was very young. Lillith's father, a ranger named Tathnis Ev’Val, spent all his time out hunting orcs after that, leaving Lillith to primarily be raised by her uncle Ebralnis Ev'Val (a spellfilcher who has been jokingly referred to as the elven James Bond), the thieves' guild, and Lillith's grandparents.
Lillith's first name was originally Mithladi, the same as her mother's, but after her mother's death, her devastated father couldn't bear to have his daughter's name as a constant reminder. He changed her name to Lillithien, making Mithladi her middle name in honor of her mother.
Lillith's father eventually ascended to godhood as the elven god of the arctic, cold, winter, and revenge against orcs.
Later Events
Over the course of her adventuring career, Lillith has unintentionally become a lich on two separate occasions. In the first case, she was possessed by a lich, but thanks to her magical power she ended up cooperating with him rather than being overridden. They made gleeful use of the discovery that their magic power stacked, much to the consternation of Lillith's more puritanical allies. In the second instance, in late 23 ARL, Lillith was turned into a "discount" lich when, in an attempt to keep a lich from endlessly rebuilding itself thanks to its robe, she stole the robe and put it on. It turned out the robe was the source of the lichdom, and was cursed; the lich's bones crumbled to dust, and Lillith found herself dead, a lich, and unable to take the robe off.
