Amy's neural and spinal implants are mostly hidden, though her spine has small protrusions where her energy cells can be accessed and charged.
Energy for her augmentations is supplied by two main energy cells which power her abilities, as well as one backup "life support" energy cell. Should the two main cells be drained, the backup cell will continue to provide life support. If the backup cell were to be depleted, Amy would be rendered paralyzed.
 
Amy is able to charge her energy cells with equipment that connects to an external socket on her spine. If required, she can also swap out her two main cells with spares.
 
Sevchenko's scientists were attempting to find a way to charge the cells via food Amy ate, but she escaped before this could be implemented and tested.

Personal history

Amy was born in Winchester, England to a middle-class family. When she was 10, she was abducted by goons working for Maksym Sevchenko and brought to his secret compound where she spent years receiving cybernetic experimentation. Sevchenko had intended to use her to develop augmented telekinesis and she received spinal and neural implants. The abilities were initially crude, and Amy could only lift objects and have them levitate in place for a short time. Over the years her implants were improved until she was able to fully control the objects she manipulated.
 
Amy would make several attempts to escape the facility, finally succeeding not long after her 20th birthday using the powers she had gained from the cybernetic experiments.
 
She emerged in the outskirts of Cruxstead city, disoriented and lost. She was found by passers-by and taken to hospital to recover. She then traveled back to Winchester to find her parents, only to learn that they had both died while she was in captivity. With nothing keeping her, Amy chose to return to Cruxstead where she would attempt a new life.

Education

Amy was educated during her time in Sevchenko's compound. While he does not care much for the wellbeing of his captives, he sees the value in ensuring that they are schooled and somewhat socialized.
