The communities of Girasol are vast and diverse, yet in all, you can find the comfort of a healer. Before Microsia ushered in the age of greed, those who sought the tender care of a healer only needed to find the closest community. Now with Microsia’s expansion, medical practice is at an all-time low. Those who have the aptitude for healing are trained and pushed into classes better suited for “securing Microsia’s interests.” What would have become the next age of healers and protectors is now a swarm of warriors and mindless police. And to add salt to the wound, those who still practice medicine are now so heavily policed that their practices must be vulgarized for the comfort of the state and many practicing healers adopt the greed that Microsia imposes upon the good, honest people of Girasol. All this to say, what is labeled as a place of healing by “our” state is never going to be a place of healing, but instead a place of commerce. Only by turning to the communities most vulnerable and neglected can you discover the true care of a healer.
The healers that practice in these areas typically hail from similar poverty and therefore practice healing as an art derivative from their class, not as a means for profit. They can be found by the makeshift white tents and canopies they construct in the middle of urban centers or tent cities. These constructions are meant to be quick to set up and easy to take down and occasionally glow with various blessings and cantrips to promote a healing environment. And due to Microsia’s obsession with expanding profits, free medical care cannot be practiced openly, requiring that those who dedicate themselves to this manner of healing must also adopt a nomadic lifestyle. So if you are seeking a genuine healer, and cannot find the white tents where the working people thrive, all you must do is wait for the next healer to wander on in and set up shop. If your condition needs immediate care, do not be afraid to ask for help from the people in the area. These people are thriving under the shackles of Microsia will do everything in their power to ensure that you too can thrive.
