Grace Lumons was born as the youngest child in the family, having an older sister and brother. With her sister being an astronomer and brother being an archmage himself later in life, Grace already had a lot of expectations to live up to. She spent most of her childhood by herself and with her siblings, and only made one friend named Rose. She was constantly bullied and being made fun of for her lack of socialization with others, and kept to herself and her books. Most of her time was spent on reading and studying, although she calls herself a "late bloomer" for not learning magic at seven when mostly everyone else in her classes have. Because of this, she distanced herself more and practiced magic in order to master it By the time she was 11, her proficiency in magic and vast knowledge of the arcane drew the attention of numerous people. She was certified as the Archmage Shining Star, which meant extra expectations were placed on her as a result. She was separated from the other students and was given her own lessons to ensure she was constantly at the top. This leads to her being mostly reclusive and unable to properly express herself without seeming strange or overbearing, as well as losing most of her childhood and teenage years to the constant studying. As a result, Grace never grew up normally.

Accomplishments & Achievements

I guess my greatest accomplishment was being the youngest known archmage in Solas Nua...? Look, I can't really think of anything else.
Oh! How about that time I successfully baked my first cake without it being charred to bits? I think that's an accomplishment. And when I learned how to wield a glaive enough to fight with it easily. I'm still learning a lot, so there's just so much for me to accomplish!

When I woke up from that slumber, the first thing I saw was her.

Though, it has been a long time since I spoke with her. Too long, actually. Sometimes I wish that wasn't the case. We reminisced about our childhood for a bit, although I was the one that wondered why we never spoke after the fact. I wrote all of these letters to her, hoping she would reply to tell me she's alright. I spent eight years writing, and it yielded nothing. Seeing her again just makes me... Ugh, I don't know how I feel about it! Am I supposed to feel happy, or sad, or...?

I guess I just missed her? It's hard for me to process my feelings for her, and I feel like storming out of the room was a bit out of line for me. It's just difficult for me to reciprocate whatever it is she feels about me right now, because I don't know what to feel.

Florian asked Liv and I if either the Breeze Ibis or Frozen Mirage would win in a battle against each other earlier. I chose the Frozen Mirage, solely out of his wisdom and illusory magic playing major factors during the battle. He might disorient the Ibis for long enough that he could sneak in a strike. And then Florian asked if I could win a battle against them. Really? Me against them? I can't consider myself strong enough to fight them, let alone win.
I spent a bit training with the twins after that. I never expected Liv to be a great teacher! She never looked like the type to me.

Sometimes I feel really grateful for the friends and family I have. Even if I'm stuck in a rut, they'll be there to help me get back up on my feet. But now, no one is around to help... I'm afraid. Afraid of falling and being able to pick myself back up. Afraid that there won't be anyone to help me. Afraid that I'll be alone in the end. It's terrifying, to say the least. No person should ever be subjected to feel that way.
