Chet is Mac's best friend and the sole proprietor of Green Run's finest dive bar, Pat's Tavern. Chet came into possession of the bar after its founder, Pat Patterson, didn't leave it to anyone in his will, and as a result of Mayor Wilson's program to bring in more small businesses, Chet was the only one there to bid on it. He doesn't get much business, but that doesn't stop him from welcoming each and every customer as enthusiastically as the last. Chet loves his job; he gets to drink as much as he wants, no one's there to tell him not to smoke, and there's never a shortage of people to speak with when you're the bartender.
Chet met Mac back in 8th Grade when he offered him his first J cause he seemed like he "wasn't a bitch" and from there, the rest was history. Chet and Mac were inseparable, from attending concerts on a school night to running a ramshackle drug ring (and getting caught almost immediately). They both attended (and promptly dropped out of) Hanford University, Chet doing so after winning 'Pat's' at auction, citing, "This is like a sign from heaven, man." And so that's what Chet did; he ran the bar. He ran the bar for the next 10 years, and each day, he woke up just as excited to go to work as the day before.
