Lady Granger is the owner and CEO of The Northern Trading Company, which has risen as the major import-export company in Rhynmouth in the last years. The main reason for the sudden success is the quasi monopoly on the import of Etherium.
The Grangers were not noble to begin with, but used to be normal traders, importing goods from all over the Northern Kingdoms. When they struck a lucky deal with the Dwarves from Malador about trading Etherium, they catapulted to the top of the companies in Rhynmouth. They became so important to the government drive to use Etherium as a way to progress Rhynmouth, that they were bestowed a noble title.
Their social position is not really as secure as they would like. A lot of Rhynmouth nobles as well as old traditional trading empires are looking down their noses at the Grangers.
Lady Granger is a shrewd business woman, clever, but not as clever as she likes to think. Her success was mostly based on luck, on being at the right place at the right time. Somewhere deep inside she knows, that this is the case and it gives her an inferiority complex, which she likes to compensate with surrounding herself with the most expensive articles and attires.
She is very arrogant towards anyone she deems beneath herself. Her speech is artificially posh, but when she gets upset she sometimes slips.
