Davlin Greystride appearance in Jaffin was nothing different than the numerous trading caravans that arrive. The difference is that once Davlin arrived, he grew a soft spot for the small town and grew accustomed to the quiet life. He decided to help out the local Sheriff by using his Ranger skills he helped scout the areas for brigands and trouble makers.
 
His past isn't nearly as known. When asked about his life before Jaffin, he usually is quick to change the subject or claim he was "Just from the other side of the Hills". Rumor has it he hails from the city state of Sanctuary, or even from the Far East.
