Session 2: House of Yew Report

General Summary

[ Meta: Beginning of session was spent allocating experience points and discussing mechanics. ]   After a long week spent furthering their abilities and recovering after the encounter with the East Valley Butcher, the coterie once again unifies the following Friday. They converge at Castaways, discovering that Nick & Marcel were already there awaiting their arrival. Nick divulges his findings about the killer; His name is Juno Harris, and if he is to be believed, he murdered those investors as an act of revenge. Nick also relays that he discovered that Juno is a Caitiff, or a vampire without a clan and Juno has no recollection of who his sire is or what their intentions are.   Feeling sympathetic, Nick explains he doesn't feel good about granting Juno a final death given he likely had no idea how to control himself after turning. He suggests that the coterie take him under their wing and see if they can't teach him how to better control himself, if he accepts their offer that is. After a brief interlude of trying to convince Juno he is Kindred, he reluctantly agrees to accompany them, citing he's not good at much, but he can help protect the party if anything were to happen. Happy to have another punch boy on the team, the coterie departs to start researching a mysterious note left in John's church.   The note leads the coterie to Heritage Square, a small historical park filled with preserved victorian era homes that have been restored to their former glory. On the hunt for spirits or those associated, the Coterie finally finds themselves inside of the famous Rosson House, the haunted museum in Phoenix. Exploring it's halls, the neonates find themselves surrounded by small hints of magical interference, first inhibiting the use of the stairs and then again with the maze-like halls on the second floor.   Following her keen senses, Adel manages to find her way to something that looks the most significant; a Large gargoyle blocking the entrance to another stairwell. Waving Eleanor along, both girls begin to start trying to push the gargoyle out of the way, only for its head to turn to look down at them.
