Session 10: Flesh Market Report

General Summary

A battle ensues as Clint becomes more grotesque and beastly by the second. His body swells and blisters in unnatural ways and before Eleanor can really react, the beast's jaws are wrapped around her throat as he demands to know why she was able to see through his ruse.   Kindred, she says. I'm kindred.   These words mean nothing to him. And before Eleanor has a second to try to appeal to him, he's started to sink his teeth into her throat and sip her blood. John decides not to stand around and watch anymore and flies into action, starting to hack away at the beast as Juno joins in. In the meantime, Maki remains hidden in the kitchen and tries her best to get the secret door open. She eventually makes contact with someone on the other side of the door-- a girl. They have a brief conversation where the girl identifies herself as Eve and says she refuses to open the door until either the coterie dies or Clint dies, whichever comes first.   During this time, Killian comes to the conclusion that fire might be a good way to break up this fight, so he slips outside to siphon some gas from a few cars in the parking lot. Once he returns inside, he takes off his coat to douse it in gasoline and threatens to toss it over the monster if everyone doesn't chill the heck out.   Seconding this, Eleanor takes out her gun and shoots a hole into the ceiling, earning a moment of peace before the battle swiftly resumes again, ignoring their efforts to disband it. Killian and Eleanor end up just watching John & Juno hack away at Clint, Eleanor eventually placing a call to Nick asking for assistance. Ultimately, the battle ends when John starts to hunger frenzy and grapples with the feral Cainite, teaming up with Maki & eventually Eleanor to feed on the guy until he reaches final death. John is the one to commit to Diablerie and as a result thickens his blood while the others depart to rescue Evangeline.   It is then that Eleanor learns why Eve was so hesitant to open the door; Eve is not only missing an eye but a majority of her left leg- something she reports that Clint did to her. Eve confesses that El and her group are not the only people who have come by looking for her. A cop and his partner had arrived maybe two weeks before and were killed and eaten by Clint- something that Elias failed to mention to them.
