2021-08-18 - Tower of Terror Report
General Summary
The Big Top was once a dazzling place, but had recently fallen on hard times. One imagines that happens when the circus can't move on. Our heroes arrived at the big top and they found the three ring circus is in full form, but nearly ignored. Still they were drawn to the centre ring - a flame eater with a black rooks tower as part of her show. Charlotte, The Fire Eater asked for volunteers and Zylgwynn Mun offered up his services. Strapped to a target she threw blades at him and then once that phase was completed she asked he return the favor. But this time when the weapons were thrown the blades stopped mid-air. Time-trapped. The party talked their way into the tower and once they slipped through the comically small door, they found themselves in a different module. Err...dimension. Here they entered a tower likewise trapped in time, filled with mystery, murder, and servants mid-slap. They found a small hand-held organ grinder that played three separate words! Might these be the words that are referenced on Martek's Crypt? While Fye was exploring an empty room with a rattling bottle Thallan went off to find a back entrance stumbled across the wife of the sheik who had plotted his murder. She was not friendly as time had turned her into a banshee and she shrieked at Thallan who resisted. He stepped back and the rest of the party joined as they killed her. Zylgwynn's sword reveled in the carnage. They found the sheik in the moment before an arrow pierced his heart - they put a tin cup over the arrow to protect him. And when they opened the jar that Fye had found, they learned that it contain Calco a foul-mouthed pixie. She told them that she was here on behalf of Martek and that the tower was a mobius tower, there was no way out except to go back in time. She also informed him that the enemies of the Time Sworn Sentinels were here and had taken control of the tower. As the party explored they found a traitor a captain of the guard who had called on his own men to be inspected knowing that the Sheik would die. Grimogall Varangr gave him his desire - death. They pressed on through the tower and found a dead body, Alligator Boy, dead and partially eaten. A howl was heard down a hallway and the party went to explore.
