Session 1: Birds of a Feather

General Summary

It was the 20th of Arc and the Celebration of Life & Growth was in full swing within Port Sailhome. Pie eating contests, arm wrestling, catching greased pigs, most of the town was reveling in the holiday. Here is where we met our adventurers, participating in the festivities in their own ways. The old tortle cleric Hiero making small toys for the children and keeping the uptight Kelsh clergy from crushing their fun. Stegon, the lone sellsword, going from cheap carnival game to carnival game to win some coin. Around the edges of the festival Tarzin was showing off his recently "finished" golem, Alexa, to an impressed crowd. And Rusty was up in the crowds attempting to procure himself a new coin purse.   Rusty's efforts were interrupted however by a awkward man called Octavius Tassian. A large and strange fellow utterly fascinated by Rusty, or specifically his garudian. Rusty was not especially fond of the attention and attempted to leave, but before he did Octavius pushed upon him a gift of apology for his rudeness. A festival token which would allow him to participate in the main event of the day and potentially win a lot of money.   Each of these people ended up receiving a green token some way or another and were able to participate in the Defense of the Guardians event. An event where the chosen "Garuda Guardians" where to stave off an onslaught of dozens of "Invaders". The guardians being promised a fabulous prize if they won. Of the 6 guardians who participated in the event, Rusty, Hiero, Stegon, Tarzin, and a halfling woman named Fim finished and won their prizes. Of which was a supposably ancient artifact called the @Star Compass which was donated by the awkward Octavius. Who used it as an opportunity to promote his garudian museum in Woodhovel only a few days travel from the city.   After the event winners of the event decided to, at least for now, let Rusty hold onto the Star Compass, much to the chagrin of Fim. It apparently held some cultural significance to him, of which the halfling woman tried desperately to get him to speak about. Bothering him all the way to the Gullet Guzzlers tavern. There the group relaxed and shared a bit about themselves with each other. After a while of talking, a while arguing between Fim & Tarzin, and more time drinking because of a bet the group ended the night in the tavern as the golem Alexa carried her master & creator home.
