1. Blue Hoods Report
General Summary
The session began on the 3rd Zarantyr, 998 YK, with Kalshana and Warden arriving in New Cyre. They reveal they can heal, and so get assigned to work in the House Jorasco with Thara d'Jorasco. Then we jumped to 20th Olarune, 998 YK, the four year anniversary of the Mourning.
- Oargev gave a speech, contents at the bottom of this report.
- Oargev's speech was interrupted by blue hooded figures, shouting about Cyran secession in Eastern Breland.
- The party managed to subdue most of the attackers, some were killed. Nobody else was really hurt.
- Oargev called a meeting, which the whole party was in. He told them he was forming several Cyran task forces to try and solve their problems.
- The party is the first of these task forces, and have been tasked with finding out what happened today, and also why supply deliveries aren't making it to New Cyre.
- The party interrogate the blue hoods, they're a particularly violent group of parliamentarians. They believe that monarchy is tyranny, and that the people should rule (not exactly an unpopular opinion).
- Terfel went to Newsie and bought a newspaper off of him. The article was Pauper Prince Plots Bandit Barony in the Voice of Breland.
- They're remarkably well armed. The party took the swords to Siebold, who confirmed they were Cannith made.
- Each of the blue hoods have a pin, depicting a sword over a blue background and a roaring bear. The party took one of these pins to Iona Perch, who told them that the blue background with the bear is the Brelish flag.
- The blue hoods appear to have been radicalized by the newspaper, but are tight lipped about where they got the weapons and pins from.
- Nobody in the camp knows any of the blue hoods, they arrived today.
Today is a day of mourning and remembrance. Four years ago, our lives and all that we loved were shattered like a glass dashed upon the rocks. We have sifted and sorted, finding what pieces remain, and we have created this place. It might have been easier for the children of Cyre to scatter upon the four winds and for each of us to integrate into the other nations of Khorvaire. But if the day comes that we disband and dissolve our ties to one another, that will be the true day to mourn. For on that day, Cyre will truly cease to exist. As long as we are together, as long as we seek out our brothers and sisters and welcome them into our midst, as long as we share the dream that is New Cyre, the Jewel of Galifar remains. It may not be as grand as our homeland once was, but it is ours and it is of our own making. The Cyran motto has long been "What our dreams imagine, our hands create." Look around you, friends! This is the start of something. Our collective dreams are seeing results. Our tireless work is creating new hope and new opportunities. I urge you to continue to work toward our shared dream. I vowed to you four years ago that we would hunt down the villains responsible and demand justice. My determination in that regard has not wavered. We will see it done. I give you my oath, one day this villain will be dragged, kicking and screaming, into the light and they will pay penance for what they did to us. Sadly, today is not that day, for the moment, our focus needs to be on each other. My heart is gladdened, and I am inspired by each and everyone of you, who every day lends a hand in support for your neighbours. Some say that Cyre is dead, but I know, as do we all, that as long as we continue to survive, to help each other, to live, Cyre cannot die. Cyre was never a place, the land wasn't Cyre, you are. Cyre is, and always will be, it's people. I am announcing today-
