3 - Lighthouse leads the way

General Summary

Those who fight further!

The party found themselves within Vexacious Rein's memories. Staring down a mighty Behemoth atop the airship Belerophon just as it began it's attack run anove Redwell.
The group attacked, with Zephyr Highwind and Zar'ral Helvimtor leaping off the ship in to battle, almost failing as they cling to the mane of the Behemoth, as it proceeds to strike out at the ship, bringing it crashing to the ground just as the red mages leap off in to battle.   The battle was brought to land, the Behemoth taking but a few moments to deal with the red mages before stomping off towards Redwell, destroying some homes and lives along the outer edge.   This shows Zephyr events they weren't witness to the first time around, the pain and anguish of their decision and perceived failures dragging up emotions from deep within, and the crystal within their chest reacted.     Zephyr found themselves suddenly glowing in a powerful purple aura, flashes of yellow wisping across their body like flickers of lightning. They drew upon this new found power to leap 100 feet in to the air, weapon raised. Time seemed to freeze for a moment as they floated in mid air, weapon pointing down towards the Behemoth before there was a crackle of energy, and, like lightning they shot downwards toward the beast, slamming in to it's skull with immense force, breaking it's horn and stunning it as it fell to it's side.   The group took advantage of this, and began their final assault. A tough battle was held as the Behemoth recovered, but ultimately fell, and the vision of Vex' past ended.   Vex then received his vision, of a giant frozen castle, floating in a frozen lands above a whirlpool, as vicious icy winds surround it.

Arrex' pain

The party then followed Arrex Nairin in to their mirror, and found themselves in a cave filled with magical darkness. The party struggled to identify the situation and figure out what was happening, but Kupo learns some new secrets by deciphering the magic spell being cast by a blurry and blackened figure upon a second figure, kneeling before them.   Once the vision passed, Arrex found themselves knowing of another primal crystal, atop a floating island, surrounded by winds with a huge tornado atop it, far to the south-west.

Zar'ral's anguish

The group then followed Zar'ral in to the mirror he was able to activate, and found themselves in a small house during the night. Lit faintly by candles a scene played out in front of them;   Two Drow, a male and a female, stand in front of the party, huddled together over a small table, looking at something.. blurred, and unclear, whilst talking in hushed tones that seem to be gibberish. There is suddenly a scream, as a blackened blurry figure appears between the two, a knife outstretched in each hand, the points in the throats of the two Elves. The assailant then scoops the items off the table in to a bag before dashing off out from the window, breaking it in the process. A moment later, another Drow walks in, who immediately dashes to the pair, he tries to revive them and gets covered in blood before taking chase, leaping out of the broken window.   Zar'ral recognises the situation as from a time his brother Sabdinn was accused of murdering their parents. This seems to validate his innocence. Zar'ral recognises some of the items on the table, along with his brother.   As the vision fades, Zar'ral obtains a vision of a sweltering fiery dungeon, deep within Mount Brigurst.

Closing time

The party are then unceremoniously removed from the lighthouse, appearing upon it's steps, which Vex promptly falls down, followed by Arrex, who was trying to do a stunt, for some uncharacteristic reason.   As they leave, they get one final vision as a group, of an earthen room, deep within the mountains to the east wherein lies the primal Earth crystal.   Kupo has an idea, maybe they can find out more about the crystals in the grand library of Crysteria. The party adds this to their ever expanding to-do list.

It's not a random encounter if you avoid it then come back later, right?

The group then head out to find the orcs they missed previously. They succeed, and rid the world of this band of roaming monsters, taking their heads back to Swynhill for a reward of 12,000 gil, and a bonus 1600 for scrap weapons sold. They then prepare to head out, intending to head to Padstow to settle some prior business.   End date 9/1/279
