Session 0: First Footprints

General Summary

Frelina, a towering yet timid survivor, and about fifty crewmates awoke on the jagged South Reef Shore of Sumaelion with daylight slipping away. Defying Captain Vale, she rallied twenty followers by unveiling her condensation‐collector for drinking water and led them into the fringe of the South Shore Jungle. There they foraged in the Jungle Grass, skewered Jungle Muskrat, harvested Shore Palm for healing Shorefruit, and gathered enough meat and fruit to feed everyone, even after trapping and felling a vicious Jungle Thrasher. Along the way, Frelina bonded with sailor Greyfoot while scavenging rocks for fire and stumbled upon the jungle’s first eerie secret: trees displaced by an unseen force, galloping and sniffing; a seemingly enormous creature. Back at camp, with bellies full and fires crackling, she mended relations with a humbled Vale and sought peace with Sergeant Hollis—only to be driven off by his rival outpost. As darkness fell over Sumaelion, the survivors slept soundly but awoke with as many questions as before: Who brought them here, how they might escape, and what invisible menace lurks in the jungle’s depths.
