Esterson Session 3
General Summary
When news about our Esterson Hall's revival came to light within Hearth, a cobbler burst through our doors. Poor sod clutched at my legs begging for our aid. Once Welma calmed his nerves through a few mugs, he was mostly coherent.
From what we understand, his daughter was kidnapped by wood elves in broad daylight. He is uncertain what motive they could have considering she has visited those woodlands countless times before without hassle. So it's up to you folks to head out to Haliah and see why these Temporal elves have a change of heart.
Before Heading Out
The lowlifes they recruited returned from their mission to investigate the Darkway Thieves in bruises and bandages. The oafs had stumbled into their territory and got a brutal beating out of it.
Onward to the Alsaran Forest
The party arrives in the aetheriin village of Alsarelle. There, the elves direct them to Elryn, a ranger who acts as a makeshift diplomat between them and the nivariin. He agrees to bring them along through the Alsaran Forest. Its along the way that they stumble across the remains of an attack on a carriage belonging to the University of Renaki, the Revered cael over knowledge. It became clear that there was an attack and some force stepped in to save the students.
On arrival to the Nivariin’s glade, they found six prisoners under constant guard. The elder explains he kidnapped them for suspicions of being infected by the werewolves from the attack. He hesitates to execute them after Kadilith had caused an omen. Uncertain, he suspects that the party could be who their nature patron is referring to, to possibly obtain a cure for their condition.
Following the signs of Kadilith, the party overhears a small caravan get attacked by inferiin (dark elves). Stepping in to save the caravan, the party discovers that its an inquisition-based group of Revered, led by Inquisitor Arnsley Dorian. As a thanks for helping them, he provides the party the needed remedies for lycanthropy.
On their return back to the glade, the party cures those possibly infected and are able to peacefully bring Candice Laurel back home to her father in Hearth.
Back at Esterson Hall
The party catch Kastor being trained by Antharine for self defense in the way the Order of Candescence does. Though, this would mean a mild sparring match to test one’s understanding. Caught by surprise, Kastor lashed out, hurling hellfire at his trainer. Shocked by the harm he caused, he was quick to apologize profusely. Being understanding, Antharine assured him that his impulse got in the way is all.
Once the tensions cool down, the party proceeded to slowly gather in the bar of the hall. Drinking games were had and even Emoru testing Maedhros’ ability as they are both musicians after all.
