A ring of frozen, dragon-filled mountains surrounds the Caldera. Here, the sun scorches, the sand burns, and the most precious resources are guns and water. The parched earth is no longer capable of supporting such luxuries as trees, so the people have learned to live without, adapting to accommodate the unforgiving land.   Humans, half-breeds and the mana touched races all eek out an uneasy understanding called peace, and one could hardly say that "all is well". Even so, besides the every day struggle, plots and machinations turn behind the scenes and threaten the fledgling civilisation.

Huddled in an abandoned house, with an unconcious cursed child. Monsters and once-men roam the darkened veiled streets outside and with little time and fewer clues as to why this happened, or how to stop it.

End of the Line

The ride to Reapstone has been frought with mounting danger, and hindrance. From vengeful nemesis to hordes of wandering cursed farmers with reckless thirst for the blood of their uncursed kin and other far more insidious creatures than that.   As the train pushes further east, the fog grows thicker, and the sun sets, dusk turns the landscape to a sickly gunmetal grey.

Spells: Blind(sand whirlwind),   Armour(ceramic Plates): Armor creates a field of magical protection around a character, or an actual shell of some sort, effectively giving the target Armor. Success grants the recipient 2 points of Armor. A raise grants 4 points of Armor.   Endure Elements(dust body suit/mask) 2pp per hour on raise 1pp per hour,   Bolt(rock/ceramic shard): Bolt is a standard attack power of wizards, and can also be used for ray guns, bursts of energy, streaks of holy light, and other ranged attacks. The damage of the bolt is 2d6. Additional Bolts: The character may cast up to 3 bolts by spending a like amount of Power Points. This must be decided before the power is cast. The bolts may be spread among targets as the character chooses.   Blast(shredding grit): The area of effect is a Medium Burst Template (found at our website). If the roll is failed, the blast deviates as a launched projectile. Targets within the blast suffer 2d6 damage. Unlike other attacks, raises on the attack roll do not add to damage to area effect attacks. Additional Effects: For double the Power Points, the blast does 3d6 damage or is the size is increased to a Large Burst Template.
