The Mausoleum of the Wretched

General Summary

Stranded in Yomi with no way to return to camp or pursue Hiruko, the group fell under the influence of a passing Emotion Storm, causing them waste another 24 hours in a trance-like bliss. When the storm passed, they managed a successful rest and Benkei used Plane Shift to return to the camp in the sunken city in search of helpers for the coming battle against Hiruko. Upon arrival, they met with Tao-Ren, introduced Niktaor and informed her of what they'd learned/what they planned to do.    While Niktaor and Izanagi stayed back to speak with Tao-Ren, Genji and Benkei sought out Liu-Xiao to request the aid of the Sword Jockey's. Of the Sword Jockey's, Fai, Gao Yang, and Honoka volunteered to accompany the group to the Mausoleum of the Wretched. With their preparations made, Niktaor used his Wish to teleport the group to wherever the Mausoleum was.    They appeared along a bank of the Flesh Drops Gorge and discovered that Hiruko's moving palace was mounted on the back of a gargantuan O-Dokuro wading through the river of flesh along with the dozens of helpless humans it had captured. With Benkei's help, they took to the sky in pursuit, battling a flock of shadowy wyrm-like creatures before landing on the Dokuro's spine and entering the Mausoleum. They encountered a horde of mindless undead, made up of the residents of Feng-Nao. They pushed through and entered a ritual/torture chamber where humans and demons were being subjected to undead experimentation. Benkei attempted to sneak by but was immediately caught and a battle broke out. After the battle ended, they took a short rest and continued on, entering the Dokuro's skull and finally coming face to face with the Deformed Slug Prince.
