Towards the Core

General Summary

Upon his release, Mugen wasted no time in reviving Sayuri using her scabbard as a catalyst. After Mugen brought her up to speed on the current events, the two Yonkishi left the camp area to be by themselves. Once the meeting was adjourned, Benkei used Liu-Xiao's crystal ball and successfully scryed on Kagutsuchi who was working in the Foundry.     The group was later summoned for another meeting to determine the next days strategy. It was decided that the group accompanied by Izanagi Ayaka , Mugen , Iho, and Shoraku would be teleported as close as possible to the Foundry's walls to infiltrate and raise chaos while Tao-Ren, Sayuri, Liu-Xiao and the rest of the army bought time for the group to defeat Kagutsuchi. Seeing a second Foundry-kin Titan being constructed, Mugen and Ayaka were ordered to attack, leaving the rest of the group to infiltrate the bowels of the Foundry.   Guided by Benkei's intuition, they pressed on into the depths of the volcano and bypassed several rooms of potential enemies by making use of Benkei and Genji's spells. Fighting through heat exhaustion, they eventually arrived in a room where they found the way forward barred by The Second Son.
