Session 1 - Maford Bandit Troubles Report

General Summary

  Arriving into Maford to deliver a missive and a box to the Lord Althalos Stagdew, Arlanval and his new companions Mara and Ashton met Velvet during their audience with the Lord of Maford. Together they were tasked by the noble to help with a bandit issue that had been plaguing the road to Twin River.
  Reporting the Guard Captain Adelaide Budd, they soon met Harper and Chael who were also looking for well paying work with the guard. Together they all agreed to meet with the captain early the next morning to strike out against the discovered location of the bandit's base.
  Splitting with Adelaide and the guards she brought upon arriving at the dilapidated fort, the group of mercenary adventurers set about helping clear the top level. Killing or arresting any they ran across. Stumbling into a ritual room, they managed to defeat a number of demon dogs and mutated men as well as a pair of Quasits. Recovering the stolen merchant goods and a partially detroyed journal.
  Velvet was the first to read the journal which sent shivers down her spine, recognizing the cult at work in the old fort. They made their way back downstairs to meet up with Captain Adelaide and they were able to clear out the rest of the bandit presence. They also discovered a strange container of black Ichor and a green stone.
