Session 4: The Road to Mystery Report

General Summary

This was an excellent "welcome back" session I do believe, here is what went down:

  • Players struggled with Duchess Leta being a bitch on their way to Krakwa, The Kalishnik House invited them to Rusonia, the uncovered all they could about Leta's dealings namely that she works through dead drops in a tavern she owns in Gomel where "Mr White", an entity living in the Ursa Mountains, communicates with her
  • They arrived at Krakwa just in time to witness the winged hussars ride off down south, with Michael and Liecha Sobieski of The Sobieski House leading them. Apparently they are going down south to try and calm Vlad of The Paelor House down so he doesnt start a war against @astrasan
  • They arrived in the city, setting up in a tavern, Ariange and Khasari went to talk to Hanna Sobieski about how to handle Leta due to corrupt courts only setting her free instead of giving her justice for dealing weapons to the Cult of the Chained God. The players were approached by a mysterious tiefling whose name they didnt catch who offered to kill Leta, but they turned him down. Instead they decided to "reward" Leta for giving up what little information she did while "gifting" her two bodyguards to replace her dead ones to act as spies and try to catch any further corruption, at least until Michael can return from stopping another war
  • The players then continued on to Malad Duson's manor, finding it overrun with Kobolds now, they snuck past them using the elaborate hijinks of one "Redsnout" who accidently set their stables on fire, thankfully, all the sheep/Guard drake and handler was saved from the inferno.
  • They continued in deeper into the manor, uncovering several interesting things such as:
  • A sword shaped like a demon's tongue held by a tiefling knight who died fighting the cultists, it was untouched by the Kobolds
  • A ruby statue of a sexy dragonborn with 400gp
  • Tancera is the GF of Malad Duson, he was forced to flee but in his journals professed his love for her, still, its odd he hasnt returned yet to save her as she somehow survived the cultists/scared the Kobolds into not fucking with her
  • There as a barbed devil named Abshaloth in a magic circle in the basement, Kaden released it with a deal not to harm the guard drake, handler, Tancera, and the party members, it obeyed and left, but sacrificed the other kobolds which allowed it to grow wings and fly off to somewhere
  • The players uncovered that the Kobolds were actually from somewhere near Brusaldam and their dragon master "Red Fang" was stolen by the cultists and dragged to Polania, they followed and brought what they could with them all the way to track the cultists here at the manor where they were resting before planning to continue their journey to save their master. They dont seem to know that Red Fang died in the Red Reunion.
  • The players killed the Kobold leaders/wyrmling spawn of Red Fang thanks to the antics of Redsnout whose bumbling tomfoolery proved vital to the battle, after they were slain the party decided to rest at the manor as the kobold survivors ran off.
  • The game was really good tbh, best parts was Red Snout and dealing with the Kobolds, the players seemed to enjoy it all quite a bit, cant find anything wrong with it I think.
