The party completed the remaining hooks available to them, then decided on where to go now, namely to continue down the League of Polania story. Here is what they all did in more detail:
First they got some gifts to go speak with Vistula, the Nymph of the river Vistula, Raime decided to lie to her which made her quite mad with him, however Kashari was able to speak with her and discover the following information about the flowers (Fleur-di-Riv) found around the dragon: The flowers are used to shrink things, likely shrinking the dragon to allow the cultists to sneak it into the dungeons. The flower was picked 77 miles east of Tourdeloux by a human cultist male named Jean, 27 years old, enjoys roast duck, but only when his wife makes it for him, he is a cultist, a high ranking cultist at that and... his favorite color is green.
Next the party spoke with Raidon, finding out the cultists have taken over the dread harbor once more as well as giving a cryptic description of what is going on there: "Darkness under the winter sun... fire glowing upon the snow, the ancient forges are burning, and a great reek is rising, at last... my gaze is held! Wall upon wall... battlement upon battlement... black... immeasurably strong, mountain of iron, gate of steel, tower of adamant, I see it... the Dread Harbor... fortress of Martius. The forges are lit... Martius calls his cultists home... A peak stands beyond... red stone flows in rivers... a jagged rock to open the fountain, a sacrifice to see the way..." ( Cult of the Chained God and The Dread Harbor )
Meeting with Werner Vetter he freely gave them the information they needed to make contact with a group of former Martius Cultists, like himself, in Saxony who may know more. There is a tavern called "Das Drachenfeuer" or "Dragon's Fire" in Luxemdorf , and if they enter the bar, the bartender will ask them: "What will you be drinking?", if they respond with "The anger of bloody men", they will gain access to this group and their aid. Werner asked them for a favor, namely for one of the captured cultists so he could burn the man at the stake to bring the city of Krakwa together after the attack, the party declined.
Finally, they raced to catch up with the The Kalishnik House as they were travelling to Rusonia. They arrived at the "Tiefling's Treasure Trail", where they encountered Duchess Leta, a prideful, powerful, yet stupid tiefling who put her brand onto the guns she smuggled across the border of Rusonia and into Polania. After beating up the whole bar/brothel, they managed to convince her there is a reward in it for her if she complies, she agreed to help and gave information concerning her contact in Rusonia, a "Sir White" who communicates to her from somewhere in the Ural mountains, and helped set up the chance for her to steal guns from the Kalishnik warehouse to give to the cultists. She was also a former lover of Malad Duson and suggested that if the party would like to hunt down the cultists in Polania, they should start at Malad's Manor. Which is where they will be going next time.
The session was ahead of schedule... right up until the Tiefling's Treasure Trail. I struggled with being neutral when it comes to player's actions and pushed morality on them too much, I should let them be the assholes they want to be.
