Session 11: More Time in Phandalin Report

General Summary

With some down time now available in Phandalin, each party member takes a bit of time to do some personal errands: VARIS

He heads back to Iarno Albrek's quarters curious with more potential info about the bugbears there. Unfortunately, no new information is found.

He then heads for the Stonehill Inn and chats with Elsa the Barmaid . The main thing she knows is about Daran Edermath and his orchard on the east side of town.

Lanar the Miner also explains that he heard that Harbin Wester was looking for some help with possible orc trouble over at Wyvern Tor.

Freda the Weaver also mentions about Halia Thornton who runs the Miner's Exchange and that the Redbrand bandits wouldn't bother her for some reason.

Varis decides to head out and visit Daran at Edermath Orchard to see if he knows anything about the bugbears in the area. Unfortunately, he doesn't know anything but he does mention that some prospectors got chased away by odd corpselike creatures over at Old Owl Well.

Varis then returned to Harbin to see if he would be interested in some jewels but he laughed saying he didn't have any interest since he oversees a mining town.

NYX

She heads over to Sister Garaele at the Shrine of Luck as she remembered some details about Agatha the Banshee. She learns that it's a couple days journey up to Conyberry Ruins which is where you go to help get to Agatha. Garaele gives Nyx a silver comb hoping it will encourage Agatha to reveal more information about Bowcastle's missing spellbook that she was looking for.

DAKARI

He initially heads to the inn to visit Toblen Stonehill to see if he might be able to help with some spell materials. Trileena Stonehill winds up giving him a small piece of cloth and a bird's feather.

Realizing his holy symbol can help with some spells, he heads for Sister Garaele to see about consumable spell items such as a holy water flask, specially marked sticks and powdered silver and iron.

Upon arrival, he runs into Nyx who has been chatting with Sister Garaele

ZEPHYR

He decides to head to the smithy across from Barthen's Provisions where he meets Alger Frakk and his apprentice Maza Fieldsalder.

Initially he looks for more info about Cragmaw Castle but then inquires about getting some scale mail that is decorated with his great axe. While the art is too difficult, Alger does offer the mail for 40gp instead of 50gp as a discount for helping with the Redbrands.
