Session 01: Three Adventurers Set Out Report

General Summary

THE ROAD TO PHANDALIN

Dakari, Varis and Zephyr wake up at their camp after making some distance from Neverwinter after signing on to help Gundren having heard of a tragedy falling upon others he had recently hired. Gundren hopes the group will meet up with a gnome named Nyx in the mining town of Phandalin.

After taking on a few deer that grazy nearby the campsite, they continue their way towards Phandalin.

Some time later they run into a broken wagon, some dead horses and three dead goblins

The group discovers Gundren's Diary in the wagon that reveals he is sorrowful about having lost another recent hire. Someone named Sildar has been quite helpful to him as well. The diary also compliments Nyx and her friends who were to help get some supplies to Barthen's in Phandalin.

A goblin arrow zips by and Dakari noticed that it came from the woods

Varis makes chase into the woods but gets caught in a snare and ends upside down hanging from a tree.

Two more goblins enter teh attack and Varis gets badly damaged

One goblin dies and the other runs farther north into the woods

Varis gets cut down and they decide to head towards Phandalin

ARRIVAL IN PHANDALIN

The first stop in town is Barthen's Provisions so Zephyr can sell some scimitars and Elmar Barthen is quite surprised to see a dragonborn in town

Zephyr is angered by the surprise but the situation calms down

Barthen says the town has been pretty tense due to the Redrands in the area and that there have been rumors about a dragon

Barthen does remember a small gnome who arrived recently as she brought some supplies to him. He doesn't know anything about Gundren's brothers as they have been gone for a while
