Session 10: Together Again Report
General Summary
CAMPSITE OUTISIDE THUNDERTREE RUINS
Dakari has died during the giant spider attack at Thundertree and the party retreated back to their campsite outside of the Thundertree Ruins
After fleeing the giant spiders, Varis, Nyx and Zephyr remain at the camp.
Varis is on watch and notices a wagon slowly coming down the road from the east. He watches the wagon as it then turns to head south.
Still at camp, Zephyr and Nyx wake up and notice that Varis is gone. They go to find him.
The party slowly makes their way to the cart where they discover the driver is an older druid figure looking for a camp as he has someone with him.
The party claims they have some information about the other person in the wagon but the mysterious figure doesn't trust them. He quizzes them about the person he has in the back of the wagon.
Going to the back of the wagon, the older man speaks with the person to confirm that he knows the party.
In a moment of quite some surprise, Dakari comes forth from the back of the wagon. It takes some time before the party trusts that it truly is Dakari since they saw him die.
With some trust now being built, the older man reveals that he is Reidoth and that he heard the fight just outside of his house. He found Dakari and was able to get him to some friends to help save him from permanent death.
Reidoth does also reveal where Cragmaw Castle Ruins is. As well, he mentions that Falcon the Hunter has a lodge in Neverwinter Wood that is the safest place there if they need a place to rest while at the castle. It is also mentioned that Falcon is looking for some help with a logging camp.
Eventually Reidoth makes his leave and Dakari is adamant about going back to Thundertree to kill the giant spiders
THUNDERTREE RUINS
After a few hours, the party make their way back to the ruins
While moving back to the giant spiders, Varis trips and falls. When he rises, he says that he had a vision of his mother and she told him that his father had passed away. He doesn't know if the vision is true but he realizes that he needs to take his life more seriously moving forward
Dakari casts Aid to boost the others and the party kills two giant spiders quite quickly having been rested
Despite being restored, Dakari remains weakened for the next few days as he makes his recovery
With the spiders dispatched, they decide to head back to Phandalin
SWORD COAST OVERLAND MAP
The trek from Thundertree back to Phandalin takes over a day and they face no enounters while travelling
The party initially heads to the Redbrand hideout to divvy up their supplies before heading to the Sleeping Giant Tap House as they remember some Redbrands might be there
SLEEPING GIANT TAP HOUSE, PHANDALIN
As they get closer to the tap house, they do see four Redbrands who are ready to fight having heard of the party's momentous defeat of Iarno Albrek and many of their friends
Dakari does most of the damage and they kill two Redrands
With boldness, Dakari persuades the remaining to leave and never come back
