Session 12: A Banshee & The Old Owl Well Report
General Summary
SHRINE OF LUCK, PHANDALIN
The party winds up meeting altogether at Sister Garaele. Seeing the band of adventurers together, she tells that east along the Triboar Trail are the ruins of Conyberry Ruins. Agatha the Banshee is in the Neverwinter Wood to the north but it is also said that to the south the locals had hid their gold.
With two options to consider, the party decides to head towards Conyberry.
SWORD COAST OVERLAND MAP
It takes over two days to get to the ruins at Conyberry.
The party did get attacked along the forest road by three orcs who were securing the passing. Nyx destroys one in one shot.
With the orcs fearful, Varis speaks to the others in orcish. They tell of how the orcs are interested in gaining more power in the area.
Eventually, the party continues their travels
CONYBERRY RUINS
Though in ruins, some bandits had settled in Conyberry. Dakari is anxious to move on but Varis and Zephyr decide it is worth hunting out the bandits and securing some loot
With the bandits taken down, the party searches north to see if they can find the mysterious Agatha the Banshee.
AGATHA'S LAIR
Making their way deeper into the forest to the north, the party eventually stumbles upon an odd, rounded hut made of branches
Heading inside, Varis is initally anxious to speak but Nyx has the silver comb from Sister Garaele which will hopefully encourage Agatha to help.
When Agatha appears, she offers to answer one and only one question
The party discusses their next move which results in Nyx asking about Bowcastle's spellbook. It is learned that it was lost over 100 years ago and it is unclear where it is now
SWORD COAST OVERLAND MAP
Not having much else direction, the group works their way south into the foothills of the Sword Mountains to the Old Owl Well
Due to it being later in the day, a long rest is taken
Early the next morning as they hike the foothhills, the party encounters a lone ogre who they dispatch fairly easily
OLD OWL WELL
Upon arriving at the well, Varis decides to carefully approach the battered tower that remains sitting near an odd red and white tent
Surprised, around 12 zombies smell Varis and begin their slow attack towards Varis who stands nearby
Hamun Kost, the only local resident, hears the ruckus and orders the zombies to stop before things get out of control
Hamun is frustrated that someone would come to attack his zombies but Varis is able to calm things down which leads the party meeting with him in his tent
The party is told that not only does Hamun want the scavenging orcs from Wyvern Tor to be taken down but he is also curious if Agatha the Banshee can help him discover the origin of the tower.
The party explains their knowledge of Agatha and Hamun is surprised to hear the news
