Session 05: Into the Redbrand Hideout Report

General Summary

REDBRAND HIDEOUT

  • With Zephyr at the door he discovered, Varis investigates and discovers that the door is unlocked
  • After some debate about how to proceed, Zephyr winds up just opening the door and entering hoping to intimidate whoever is inside
  • Three bugbears turn in surprise and the party also notices a small goblin cowering in the other side of the room
  • As the bugbears attack, the party pulls back down the hallway towards the nothic chamber
  • To create some distance, the party climbs down the crevasse in the center of the chamber and back up the other side
  • With the fight continuing, the bugbears decide to take the north bridge across the crevasse as the southern one had previously collapsed after Dakari backed into it when the party first arrived from the tunnel
  • Zephyr briefly goes down having taken much damage but Dakari is able to revive him
  • As the fight turned in the party's favor after some long fighting, the final bugbear tried to flee back up the hall where he came. As he died he yelled out to someone named Glasstaff
  • The party headed back to the hallway and into the room with the goblin
  • In all the excitement, the goblin had passed out so they decided to tie him up in hopes of getting some information out of him
  • Surprised to be awakened, the goblin says that the Redbrands and the goblins worke for the "boss of bosses" called the Black Spider. He mentions that there are many other goblins in the area but this place was for the Redbrand Bandit s.
  • Shortly after, Varis and Nyx decide to check out a long hallway they discovered that runs west of the crevasse in the nothic chamber. Some investigation revealed a secret door that led to a cellar
  • A bit weary, the party decides to head back to the inn to rest up
