Session 1: Another Day in Belsnik

General Summary

The party went through the past 4 years up to the present day. Each person explained a little about their backstory, appearance, and how they came to join the Lads.   The Lads awake and head downstairs to meet with Laddy Aleheart and eat. Willow asks if there are any new bounties. The selection is sub-par, but the Lads take them, splitting into 3 groups.   The first group is Hettle and Shyu, taking a delivery for Gordo Rossley. They went to the herbalist and obtained a package for him. Hettle asks if she has pumpkin seeds, but she does not. Hettle and Shyu leave and deliver the package to Gordo. On delivery, Gordo gives them each 5 SP and wishes them well as they leave and return to the tavern.   The second group is Willow, Turuk, and Louis. They go to the market stalls and search for the man who gave them the quest, Revan Colland. He informs them that he needs to run some errands for the hour and needs the Lads to watch the stall for him. During the watch, a man approaches Louis and Turuk, appearing to be a huge fan of theirs. He asks them for their autographs, pulling out a sheet of parchment and patting himself looking for a quill that he swore he brought with him. Meanwhile, another man approaches the stall, but Willow notices him and turns him away. The fan leaves to grab a quill from his home. Later, he returns with the quill and gets the Lads' signatures. At the same time, the same man from before approaches the stall again, this time being noticed by Louis. He is once again turned away by Willow and leaves angrily. As the men leave separately, Louis notices them meet as the 'fan' rips up the parchment of autographs, and they leave the market. Louis picks up the sheets of parchment, and the Lads continue their watch for the remainder of the hour. Revan returns and thanks the party, giving them each 2 SP.   The third and final group is Krosk and Glen at the logging guild. They head to the guild and walk into the building. Discussing the job, Glen negotiates with supervisor Dunn, the man who gave them the job, for an additional 5 SP, successfully. During the day, they load planks of wood onto carts for 4 hours. Krosk talks to the workers about how demeaning the work is for them, being renowned bounty hunters. The workers tell him that there aren't many jobs left in the village since the Lads have done so much already. The workers complain about the current king, Florence, while praising the old king, Clancy. The conversation then moves into communism. The workers inform The Lads that most of the money from jobs in the village is always sent to the capital. The Lads encourage the workers to go on strike, but the workers state that the current situation wouldn't allow for it as other people can easily replace them. Krosk and Glen return to their work for the next four hours. During this time, they go to another workshop and talk to the workers inside, asking about their pay. They inform the Lads that, just like the other workers, they make 2 CP per day. Once the workday is finished, Krosk and Glen return to the logging guild building and collect their pay of 2 GP and 5 SP, total. They then ask why they were paid so much, and Dunn says that it is because of their extraordinary talents that make them worth much more than the common, uneducated worker. While Dunn helps explain to them how the logging shipments, and Belsnik's economy as a whole, works, he informs them of increased bandit activity on the roads. The major shipments that go between the settlements and the capital are heavily guarded, but individual traders are easily picked off, as many cannot afford adequate protection.   Once the Lads all reconvene at Little Laddy's, they hand in their rewards from the jobs to Laddy, who then divides it up and gives each person 4 SP. Soon after, a man named Wilson Bordry enters the tavern begs them for help. He says that a recent shipment of wolf pelts had not come in, and he needs them for an urgent order. He requests at least 3 pelts but will pay for up to a maximum of 10 pelts at 8 SP each. Hettle attempts to negotiate for more money, but Wilson reiterates that he is already losing money from the lost shipment and believes he is paying a fair price for their services. His request was accepted, and Wilson directs the party to the eastern forest, just outside the village.   Heading into the forest, the Lads search for wolf tracks. They each cross a river along the way before finding tracks from 4 wolves that had been through the area about 45 minutes ago. The Lads reach a clearing where they see 4 wolves, one larger than the rest, devouring an elk carcass. One wolf notices the Lads as they prepare before the rest of the wolves turn on them as combat begins. The party kills two of the wolves and heavily injuring the other two before four more wolves appear from the nearby brush. They manage to kill all 8 wolves without any casualties and begin collecting. Krosk skins 4 pelts, with Willow skinning 4 and Glen managing to skin 2 more from the remaining wolf corpses. Willow also takes the time to collect some meat from the wolves to bring back for Laddy.   The Lads return to Belsnik, delivering their 10 wolf pelts to a grateful Wilson and collecting their 80 SP reward. Afterwards, they return to Little Laddy's and give Laddy the 80 SP, which he divides into 10 SP for each member. The rest of the night is spent relaxing at the tavern before heading to bed, completing yet another day in Belsnik.   Next Session: Session 2: Only Half a Heart
