Session 9 - Where's Ol' Shatterbeard? Report
General Summary
After delivering the apparatus to Uriel and helping him install it, the party are able to ask a few questions of him, but he is already exhausted and has many sleepless nights ahead of him to get the project finished before the Harvest Festival. He does his best to answer the parties questions about what the apparatus and the crystal are meant to do, but are left with as many unanswered questions as they got answers. After delivering the apparatus to Uriel, they split up.
- Darnalore slips off to meet with Liath, spending several hours with her 'son'. She learns that Liath is immensely strong, after seeing it easily rip a tree from the ground at her request. As she whittles carvings into the remains of said tree, which was laid down before her old family home, she realised that Laith had shrunk down to her size. And then after requesting that Liath guards this place (Her family home), Laith says he can do that, but also that the man told him to guard the other place. So in order to achieve both goals, Liath splits himself into two. His head now halved, each half on a respective version of himself.
- Icarus spends an hour looking for Darnalore who snuck away. But after failing to find her, he goes off to meditate and train and come to terms with the assortment of experiences he has undergone over the past few days. Contemplating the words of his father and master.
- Asog and Zolv go do some shopping, get a bite to eat before returning to their respective homes to spend time with the families. Zolv helps his father in the workshop while Asog plays with his younger siblings and helps his father.
- Ophelia goes home to study and take her mind off everything.
