Session 13: The Negative Being Report

General Summary

Session begins early afternoon, Summer 3.   On analysis of how the case had gone so far, Assistant Chief Inspector Stover Delft authorized additional funds of 1,500 gold for each party member for hazard pay and requisitions. After getting what items they could acquire, the party tracked down Dr. Barnaby Camp, A friend of Wolfgang von Recklinghausen and sponsor of Wolfgang's visa to Flint. Wolfgang had reached out to Dr. Camp letting him know that he was hiding with criminals and that the best point of contact was Professor Lynn Kindleton.   Tracking down Professor Kindleton, the party discovered two things: 1. that there was regular contact between Kindleton and Wolfgang, and 2. that Kindleton was being watched. Using disguise self, Eoghan Connell pretended to be Kindleton, immediately drawing out her minder. The minder said he had been paid by a server at the Venomous Skull to observe Kindleton and let her lead him to von Recklinghausen.   The party had additionally been approached by two other groups. The first was from Lorcan Kell, saying that he knows where Wolfgang is hiding. The second was Gale, not showing up in person, but reaching out to establish a time to meet in person, with the group deciding on the morning of the 4th.   That evening, the party made their way to eastern Parity Lake to meet up with Lorcan Kell. An attempt to get the party to fall into some sort of trap failed miserably, and instead Kell's minions surrounded the group and encouraged them to go to Lammers Theater, where Kell was waiting for them.   Wolfgang agreed not to do anything to the doctor, and to give the party his location, if they would stop an incoming magic item smuggling meetup the evening of the 4th.
