Aarakocra Affairs

General Summary

While taking in the beauty of the valley, the party thought about their course of action. Before long, a flock of Aarakocra approached and surrounded them with spears pointed at them. Their leader, Qhikek, was cautious about these strangers. But since they showed no ill intent, the spears were lowered.
From above an Aarakocra in robes dived down right in front of Sandor. He looked old and scarred and missing one eye. He told Sandor his Ki was strong but blocked. He showed potential but needs a lot more training. Master Kirr was clear he wouldn't take him in as a student, he didn't teach anymore. Even after Sandor offered to take care of the harpies occupying the monastery, he was reluctant.
After some conversation, Qhikek invited them to stay in the village because it wouldn't be save out in the valley. The Aarakocra went on ahead to find the rope ladder so the party could climb up. Getting to the top of the ladder, they found themselves in a wooden building, open windows with simple crossbars and no door, but simply an opening. They could use this room to sleep in, since the Aarakocra don't use it themselves.
They decided to wait for nightfall before heading to the monastery. Suiv summoned some giant owls for the party to fly on and they headed to the monastery using the dark and mountain as cover and were successful in remaining undetected. they landed on a training circle with 5 stone monoliths surrounding it. Directly north if it was the monastery. 2 rectangular dorm buildings on either side of the walkway and at the end, a round main building, supposedly for meeting, praying and indoor training. Ratchet opened one door and say about 30 harpies scattered across the room, sleeping in their nests. The same on the other side. In the round building, they could hear activity. Ratchet opened the door silently and peaked through. Inside, in the center, was some sort of altar to the Chinook and an owl-like harpy performing a ritual surrounded by harpies praying on the ground. All of them chanting in unison. They decided this operation could only result in their deaths and headed back to the Aarakocra village. they would try to get the Aarakocra to fight with them, while they take out their leader, the owl harpy.
