Session 25: Runesmith Report

General Summary

The Umbra Nex made it out of the Sheared Summit with Bran the Runesmith and back to Gwyndara. On the way they faced a vulture like Demon that was left in the tunnels and came accross a group of Gnolls who asked them of the horned ones.   In the town of Gwyndara they wittnessed the Skald Kaela in the longhouse, hearing one of the Legends of Wodyn and shadowleaf grove. Marcus and Lyria met an excentric farmer who traded an Ox for a glowing potato.   They met up at the Split Yew, a bed and breakfast of sorts in Gwyndara, to find the 3 men almost dead. Lyria performed the Lesser Restoration Spe,l on them, saving thier lives. The next morning the party left for the stone plinth of Wodyn, finding Bran there, they conducted a ceremony, gaining lore of the cosmos from the Legends of Wodyn's search for knowledge. Marcus received the Hraðr Quickness Rune and Lyria particpiated in a "Contact other Plane" spell to ask Jinn or Wodyn what change the Gnolls sought.   Wodyn told them that the veil that kept hell at bay had been torn, that the Gnolls were made as soldiers for hell, but abandoned on Solacea. They awaited the return of thier masters and a new Great Confligration.
