The Planet Ethos had been around as long as intelligent creatures could remember. The First of these being the Dwarves and Elves. From the tallest of mountains dwarves were forged and from the grandiose trees elves were splintered. The two lived in harmony for over a century until a mysterious being intervened and bent the elves ear towards the destruction of the dwarves. For over a century they fought. Thousands of lives lost, thousands of abominations created through arcane means. With no end in sight, the elves tried to complete an unknown ritual that was to assure the end of the dwarves. A flicker was seen, and a boom heard throughout the land. The ritual was completed but unbeknownst to the elves, they were also affected. Those close to the ritual were killed instantly, and whoever was above ground were stricken with a strange illness and passed soon after. The only survivors were those who hid. Thus ending the hundred year war.

Over the next 40 years, quakes and rumbles could be felt by the survivors. Those who ventured out from the shelters were met with monsters roaming about. The sky, a deep crimson with thrashing storms. Once the quakes stopped, both elves and dwarves came out in droves. A move of desperation for they were all close to dying of starvation. To their surprise, the lands were not what they once were. Lands which were once great basins laid are now deserts, and dense forests now drowned in a bed of water. But the greatest shock was the divergence of the Pangea, in the middle a swirl of mysterious energy. Strung along the inner coast were the first humans. The Elves, feeling responsible for the destruction of the land and the guilt for possibly creating a new species, took them inland and taught them speech. And with that, ended the event which was remembered as The Great Divide.

As the years past, humans proved to be very resilient and resourceful. Even surpassing elves in the way of arcane. Another noticeable trait was how fast they repopulated, out-pacing elves and overcrowding their home. Elves, being fearful of being overrun, kicked the humans out of their homeland. They wandered the lands before settling in what is now known as Narfawk. Being thrust in the world once more, they finally had the chance to meet the dwarves. They did not have an easy relationship, but an unaggressive agreement is better than no agreement for the dwarves would not accept them as equals.

The year is 250 AGD (After the Great Divide). Humans have expanded over most of what they call the continent of Urox. The ambitious Mc-Liam united the nomadic humans and with the help of council, established a monarchy and earned the title of King. Arcane magic was discovered to be the catalyst of The Great Divide and as such was banned by the King. Only those on his council or with special permission are allowed to such power. Under the leadership of the King, Humans are quickly becoming a powerhouse amongst races.
You start in the simple village of Tantos, governed by Baron Faulk West. A young village constructed not but 10 years prior, sits on the edge of the forest. Tensions between Human, Elves, and Dwarves have quelled…for now…Your story awaits.
