What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
There is not a centralized way to share user-created blocks and sheet templates. Currently, users can share the filled in blocks/sheets with other users, and we are able to copy templates from other users into our studio if we want to edit them further. However, there isn't a place share templates with other users directly. I would propose something where users can collectively share templates with other users in the community.How does this feature request address the current situation?
The solution would just be a listing of the different templates that any user allows to be shared with the community. It can be placed under the Discovery->Statblocks->(Desired RPG System) page on the sidebar. This solution would allow for members of the community to share block/sheet templates with one another, so that they can show off their work, and can generate ideas for what do create for their worlds.What are other uses for this feature request?
This will allow the community to support template blocks/sheets, which would reduced the need to have template blocks/sheets created/updated by the World Anvil Staff, allowing time to be focused on other elements of World Anvil's development.The Team's Response
Hey Beans! So, first of all there is a place to share your created blocks. It's under Discover > Statblocks. In terms of sharing your created statblock templates so others can fill them not only there is a way there is also a BADGE that is given to people. The instructions are both on the studio page sidebar but also in the Codex. You can always contact me Dimitris on our discord or message me on [email protected] to add your creations. I would love to see them. The reason we are not leaving this completely open is so we can have a quality control over the things coming out :)
