What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Currently, when one is looking over the Most Liked Articles, Most Viewed Articles, Latest Features, and Newly Published Articles in the Article Community Page, they only showcase the article title and article cover, which may be insufficient in capturing a possible reader's interest.There is a reason after all as to why books have an excerpt. To further widen the reader's interest and what might be the deciding factor whether one reads it or not.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Article excerpts visible on the Article Community Page would not be a wholly new addition, as it once was added. Personally, it helped me discover several new interesting articles -- and subsequently worlds -- that I would otherwise not have even clicked on, cause the article title and article cover (if there existed one) did not capture my interest enough.If added, it would allow people to have a much easier time finding new, interesting articles they would enjoy reading.
What are other uses for this feature request?
