Place Image Carousel text beneath images, or in a pop-up, not directly on top of them

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Currently, when an image carousel displays, the text associated with each image (title, description) displays directly on top of the image, along with the little navigation circles. Unfortunately, the text just scrolls up the image if there is more than one line and/or too many circles, and it starts to completely obscure the images if there is more than a tiny bit of text.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

It provides a more visually pleasing way of displaying the information.

What are other uses for this feature request?

None that I can think of.

i'm not sure but i think the default way atm has something to do with the way bootstrap displays and generates these sorts of things. as someone who can't seem to get the css down on the newer bootstrap version, it'd like this as well. though i see it as extremely low priority unless it is a very easy fix

I'm about 100% sure users that have a problem with this could individually fix this issue depending on their CSS skill level, but by default, image slideshows should generally have the text under the images so we can...you know, see the images.   Only issue I can foresee is the article moving around if the carousel moves to an image with an especially long description (like spoilers do), so maybe have a defined area that shows the image title and credits on one line, then three-ish lines dedicated to the description with a scroll bar for longer descriptions? It's not like people get especially long or creative with their image descriptions anyways. If I write something there at all, it's usually additional artist credits or the programs I used to make the image...

Making this a toggleable thing would be best, I like mine over the image because the images are not the core focus of my world, but I could definitely see how some more art-related worlds would love to have a focus on seeing the whole image
