What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Currently, you cannot add parentheses "()" to an article title. I would like that to change. I have two organizations in my world, one of which is the predecessor organization of the other, and both possess the same names. I want to be able to distinguish between the two by adding (Old) and (Reformed) to the respective article titles. The only reason I can think of as to why this isn't allowed is because it might mess with article linking. If that is the case, could the Devs please nonetheless try to find a way around this so parentheses are allowed in article titles? It would be much appreciated!How does this feature request address the current situation?

on 2024-04-20 17:58Since article linking is very much a core and important feature of WA, at least from my end, I don't really see an option for sidestepping this interference with parentheses in titles.

on 2024-04-20 02:57I've run up against this exact problem myself, wanting to distinguish between two distinct characters or organizations that share a name. But the user-side solution is so simple, I don't believe it's worth asking the devs to re-engineer the linking mechanics. Instead of parentheses, why not use a comma to separate modifiers from titles? A colon or a dash would also accomplish this.
