Viewing Groups that are linked to Characters

Feature Upgrade · Access management (subscribers/authors) · Created by turtlelover5656

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

The Subscriber Groups are currently connected to a username (i.e., a world anvil account). Let's say I have someone who has two characters within the same world in two different campaigns that I want to be able to view different things.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

Upgrade Subscriber Groups to decide if it connected to specific characters or all characters of an account.

What are other uses for this feature request?

Can further immerse the players in the campaign so they can view only what their character knows while playing. It is good especially for maps. They can see where one character has been instead of where all of their characters have been.

The Team's Response

Thank you for your suggestion! This is an interesting idea, but it lacked community support for us to add it to our backlog. Please feel free to try again in a month!

can't you just make a subscriber role for each character and one that allows you into the page to toggle them? then you'd give the player the base role and they can access the article where they can self-assign and unassign the 2 groups for the characters   i've never used subscriber roles so i'm unsure on what's the limit on the number of them

I don't think the amount of programming necessary for this would be worth it, considering that you can add subscribers to multiple subscriber groups - so just add them to two different groups for each character

This seems like a pretty important feature for GMs running campaigns using WA.
