Adding a "default Image size" to image settings

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

I think a useful tool would be the ability to set a picture's default display dimensions within the image settings itself. That way separate from the BBcode someone could alter the display of an image in a more complex BBcode. Currently, if an image is in a dropdown it is impossible to do something like the following:
the ability to scale the image or any other functions are not possible within dropdowns. appearing as this on the final page:
If users wish to alter the image size using the bbcode that functionality may override the images preset size. Possibly doing this with an altered image id? the bulk of this is beyond my understanding but I hope my request makes some sense.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

The ability to alter an image's size within its image settings would allow for more flexibility with BBcode and make it easier for those new to the platform to create their ideas.

What are other uses for this feature request?

Giving users the ability to set image size by default opens many ways of shortening the BBcode and the decreasing learning curve required.

While I wholeheartedly agree, that using pictures and bbcodes in e.g. a spoiler tag should be possible, I'm not sure, the proposed solution would really make things easier. New users have to then learn two ways of setting the image size. You might need various sizes for the same image in different articles, so setting the size via image settings is useless in that case. I also feel like this would be a more complicated way of implementing the functionality in the backend but that might be a wrong assumption.

Long story short, while I don't agree with the proposed solution, I understand the problem and think that images with their bbcodes should work in a spoiler tag.
