What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
In this new editor it is impossible to Copy-Paste text INTO a cell in the Simple Table feature in the article template.
When you try to do it, the table will split into two and add the text in that strange bullet point/line list (aka Tumblr-esque) underneath the row you tried to paste it into.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
It makes it possible to avoid frustration with not being able to organize already existing content into tables, without having to manually re-write everything into the cells. It also

Thanks for the suggestion! This is technically not a bug, but we agree the behavior of the editor with tables is a bit clunky. We'll look into this and see what we can do to improve it.
