omg yes. Greyscale pins with custom color picker would be absolutely amazing. Could nest it in with the current system of markers and options:- All guild members can pick from 8 different colors
- Journeyman+ can pick from a whole grid of web safe colors (more shades and options)
- Grandmaster+ can use hexcode colors and add their own greyscale markers made in the same style if they want to expand the current sets or use completely different markers like it is possible now. (Guess you would have to click an option when creating the marker to tell the system if it is a greyscale marker or not.)
I would love if all pins could have custom colors, rather than how there are the x number copies of the same pin for different color variations. It would be helpful to have a standard set of colors, then an option for a custom hex or RGB color applied to the pin. Or even a graphical color picker, even a basic one, would be great.
This would be a huge accessibility boost, too! People would be free to choose colors that have the best contrast or color signifier for what they're trying to convey.
This would be extremely helpful in terms of finding the perfect pin for everything on the map as well, and I would love to see this. Maybe have a typical color picker/slider that lets us choose the color and then lightness/darkness shade?
Yes! And it would also help make pins more manageable as there would be far fewer pins to weed through/modify.
