Direct movement editing and background image for Diplomatic Webs

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

I don't know about others, but I find the current way the diplomatic web system is implemented to be very clunky to use. I think a better interface for placing all the organizations in a pool and developing relations from there would be a preferable or at least alternate solution over the system there is currently, where you must go to a specific organization and develop their specific relations individually. More importantly however, I would make great use of being able to place a background image, such as a map, onto a diplomatic web and be able to shift around where each organization is.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

I'm not sure about specifics, but perhaps a way to edit directly within the diplomacy widget would help? All I know is that I find the current system of making a web tedious at best, and that I don't really have any desire to use it in it's current state, at least for geopolitical relations.

What are other uses for this feature request?

This may be a cool thing to implemented into project atlas, and might be something you already have planned, but I didn't see mention of such a feature on the roadmap description.

The Team's Response

This is not a bad idea at all, sadly it did not receive near enough support.   I am not against the idea of having a global interface to manage relations and I can see why this would be very beneficial   I would love to see this re-suggested, maybe with a clearer title / explanation so others can understand and vote for it.
